Is technology taking over real music?

I have always wonderered how music would be like in the next ten years, maybe even people like me who cannot sing can finaly record something by using technology and make millions. look at Paris Hilton and Jenifer Lopez i seriously don't think that they can sing but the technology they use purify their voices so as to make them sound like angels even on stage the microphone are equiped with high technology to make them sound fantastic so that the audience won't realise how bad they are.
